From high school dance routines to award shows this Massachusetts native of Haitian descent party starter had played in nightclubs, awards shows, special events, and his passion for music goes beyond the spectrum of mixing and spinning tunes. The hypnotic groove of DJ Smoov started in high school doing dance routines at John D. O’Bryant High School living in the Alston/Brighton area.
Smoov developed a style that is transitioning, blending, and a real crowd reader. With his influences of greats such as Bob Marley and Marley, Smoov started making music with Takeover Sound group in 2003 and then branched off on his own in 2011. The genres of Konpa, Zouk, Kizomba, Reggae, Dancehall, Soca, Top 40, HipHop, and Afro Beats of East and West Africa are his specialty. This graduate of New England Institute of Art has created his stamp in Massachusetts and New England. DJ Smoov is on the move of being internationally known.
